Everything has been well and good with my soul. It's been a good week so far. The fact that I can sit here and blog means it's been ok. Thank God for that. Am looking forward to the end of this week very much. First things first, on Friday Skye will be back here in PJ because she'll be starting her new job on Monday (Praise God!). There will be LG at night, then on Saturday a few of us from work will be visiting one of our colleagues house for lunch. Then Skye and I will be off to Ps Mark's house for a leadership session. At night, we're planning to catch the movie Music and Lyrics. And Sunday will be awesome because of sleep in and church of course!
Meanawhile, there will be heaps of good movies coming our way. Before that, I really wanna watch Babel and Last King of Scotland. Then, there will be Spiderman 3, the 3rd installment of Pirates, and 300 (the awesome movie inspired by Frank Miller's graphic novel).
It's the last day of work today before the CNY hols! And it's b-b-burning h-h-hot out there...
Glad to be where I am right now and thank God for everything He's done this year. I'm looking forward to the coming hols very much. I think I need a much needed time off from the work schedule. Am kinda looking forward to having casual drinks with 2 church friends tonight. All they always say, all's good.
Sitting here at my working desk at the corner (literally), I thank God. Never in the entire duration of my work here, I've been so busy with meetings and datelines almost everyday. But thank God He kept me intact.
Just today, I was supposed to meet a client at 11am. And the person called to reschedule AGAIN! After rescheduling for about 8 to 10 times, one gets a bit tired. Honestly, I'm not looking forward to meeting this client, but it had to be done simply out of necessity. Whoever said necessity is the mother of invention, I would like to see him now. 'Cause right now, it feels more like necessity is the mother of my annoyance. But let's not talk philo, it's all a bit too early for this.
Yesterday on the other hand, was nice. After work, I drove almost one and a half hours to USJ 16, where church office is located. One and a half! That's sick! Blame it on the lovebirds flooding the roads and subscribing to the valentine hype. Now, you may go "wait a minute, ain't you attached?" Well, yes I am, but if one only cares to pamper your loved one and spend a lil more on nice romantic dinners ONCE a year, hmm.. ain't it a lil bit sad? For Skye and my valentine day, we'll celebrate it in March when she comes back. Me thinks, there are all pros and no cons really of celebrating it a lil earlier of a lil later. Having said that, of course there isn't anything wrong with celebrating it on feb 14. It's just a matter of personal opinion.
When I went back from the church 1st anniversary planning meeting and dinner yesterday, it was already about 12.30am and right then, I saw a lovely lovely gift placed on my desk. I opened it up, and it was a bottle of Ralph Lauren cologne. Oh joy! I've been wanting to get a bottle since mine finished late last year, but I thought I'll be good and only buy it much later. And in the box where the cologne was placed, there was a letter from Skye. That's sweet. Thanks honey. For my valentine's present to Skye, I'll only give her when she's back from Singapore the next time :) Can't wait.
It's been a while since I've wrote anything here. Last week was my busiest ever week since I started work! In fact, this year has been quite hectic, since the first day of work started, it's been pretty busy. Even right now, I've 3 projects in my hands, and counting. Last week was a week of many meetings. I wouldn't say I'm a person who doesn't like meetings, but it was just a bit too many of them! Not all were productive as you can probably imagine.
Sunday was nice enough though. Although we had to set up and pack down the church equipments, it was all fun and nice to be able to be around friends and church mates. As I was walking to the office from the car park this morning, I was thanking God that I managed to survive the many meetings last week and keeping me sane. And I was praying that this week will be more manageable. Thank You, God.
