"In life, we sometimes strike turbulence. We've been flying along swimmingly when suddenly things get decidedly bumping all around us. In those moments of insecurity and vulnerability, we need to take our seats, to sit tight and rest in our position in Christ. Yes, things may seem shaky for a while, but at the end of day the Pilot is still in control of our flight. He's still on course. He wants us just to sit still, not to panic or rush around trying to change what we can't. He wants us to fasten the belt of truth, applying the secure word of God to our lives and wait for the storm to pass -- as it will. If the turbulence is hitting you right now, take a seat, buckle yourself tightly into the promises of God in his word and let the Captain fly you safely home."

- excerpt from Mal Fletcher's daily recharge.

The flight to Destiny is always one that takes you through the valley of Baca. In those times, hold on, the only thing that will secure you is His everlasting Word that never fails and always delivers. Hold on to His hands.

I'll hold on to yours, S k y e. We'll hold on to His.

I'm glad that next to this window seat there is You and you. That amidst the turbulence, there You are, the Prince of Peace - my Dad who is ever faithful and true to His words.

Our primary motivation in life, should be birthed out of our love for Him, which is found in the secret place of devotion.

I'm devoted to You, Lord.

And I want to say again that I'm devoted to you, love.

Come fly with Him.

Moses enters the temple with Joshua. He lights the burnt offering, he offers his prayer and spoke on behalf on the people. When all is done, he leaves the temple. Yet Joshua stayed. He stayed and he continued to worship, long after Moses left.

What an attitude of worship Joshua has! If there's one thing I desire to possess, it's the heart of worship found in Joshua. It's the heart that says there is more. A heart that wants to dwell in the house of God. He doesn't just do sunday church, leaves the house and spends the rest of the week wondering why he's drained out and feeling like God is a million miles away.

No, he knows there is more of God. He knows that even when Moses leaves the temple, the Spirit of God is there. The Jehovah, who is the Almighty God dwells in that temple. He desires, longs, hungers and thirsts to have more of God. Worship is not just songs. What a stinking lie of the enemy! How dare he! Worship is a lifestyle. When we're at work and feel tired, worship. When we come home feeling empty, worship. When we have a need, worship. When we face challenges in every area of our lives, worship.

Worship.
Worship.
Worship.

Lots of people want this super bombastic word of knowledge from God, ten thousand Bible verses, or maybe even prayer that goes on for God knows how long. The answer is worship. When we worship, we draw near to God, we kiss towards, we make a decision to step into the throne room of God. You see, God doesn't ask us to do something that He didn't do before. He wouldn't ask us to pick up the cross if He hasn't done that. He wouldn't ask us to dwell in Him and draw close to Him if He didn't in the first place. And ever since, His one desire is that we draw close to Him and have that intimate fellowship with God. We're drawing that divine connection with His Spirit and ours when we worship. Why do you think He intructs us to worship in spirit and in truth?

I love our Father for He's a God who wants to have such a close intimacy with us!

The praise His Spirit that desires to live in us. Yes, the same Spirit that rose Jesus from the dead. God doesn't give us second best, He loves us that much! wow.

This is my cry
My one desire
Is to be where You are, Lord
Now and forever
It's more than a song
My one desire
Is to be with You
Is to be with You
Jesus
- One Desire, Hillsong

I long to be in Your courts, Dad.
To dwell in Your house forever and ever.

Just a moment here with You
Means more than anything to me.

Yet another season has come and go.

The change in season signifies more than just a change in weather. It is like the season of the heart where God brings one through. When I think of all You've done, my heart sings of Your love. You made me whole. You changed me world. You took me to a higher ground and showed me destiny. Although it seems far away now, I and we will be there one day.

I want to run into Your presence. Feel the warmth of Your embrace.

I will remember the winter of 2005 for a long time in my heart. It was during this season that You've brought S k y e and I together in our love. How could I forget? How could I even stop thanking You for all the things You've done? Never, Lord, never will I forget of Your wonderful love for us. You started a relationship in June between us. And You, who is the Author and Perfector of our faith will bring it to completion till the end of days. We thank You, Lord. We love You!

As the winter ends and spring comes, You're bringing us closer to summer. You're saying there is MORE. There really is! With You, there is no end to how much You can do. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from You, my wonderful Dad! :)

With each changing season,

The best is yet to come.

There is more.

For us.

God desires to make His home in hearts of men.

He calls our body the sanctuary of the Holy Spirit.

Mind-blowing thought ain't it? The God of the universe, the majestic creator of the heavens and earth, the One who holds the oceans in the palm of His hands chooses to call His own creation home and desires to make us his home. I am humbled at that thought. But if You desire to live in me and have fellowship with me, then make me the home that You desire.

I lead worship at the internship meeting this morning. First time. I could not remember having that nervousness and great expectation of God to move for such a long time. I mean I lead worship in urbanlife on a regular basis, I led worship at ocf meetings a long time ago now. But I don't quite remember being nervous about standing up there to lead a group of young people who are passionate, hungry, desperate for God. I am constantly wow-ed at the level of hunger and the passion that the interns have for the things of God.

I stood there. Took a look at the faces of my fellow interns. Having Chad Harding and Ben Fewster smiling at me while they were standing by the front row to my left. I saw Tiffany Harding smiling at me while she stood and observed from where I usually sit at the back row. I began to share about how I am amazed at the atmosphere of passion in that room. True enough. God responds to hunger and desperation. Not just a need, not the title of your position, not how much or less you do for Him, not how creative or gifted you are, not how bombastic you can pray your fancy prayers. God just wanna see you as who you are. See me, as who I am. Just R a y C h u a h. He takes a look at the hearts of men and see if there is any place he could dwell and make his home. Can we say confidently that we are men or women after God's own heart? Search me O Lord and see if there is any wicked ways in me.

Worship went well. I consider it an honour to be able to lead the interns in worship. I take a mental picture of the faces I see because I don't know when will I be able to see them again, in the future. One Aussie intern girl walked up to me and thanked me for leading worship, said it helped her and what I said ministered to her. wow. Thank You, Lord! Then another one of my intern buddy, Ian Lee (whom always refers to me as his Asian Connection! haha!) said he thought it was an awesome time of worship.

But I guess what really encouraged me was when Chad mentioned to me that he thought it was great word and then Ben Fewster later on at night during the urbanlife leaders discipleship said he sensed an anointing on the words that I say and that he could feel that they came from my heart. Words do amazing things to your heart. It's true. It either gives life or otherwise.

I guess why I really wanted to share this is because I really wanna be intimate with the heart of God. One day, when I'm speaking or leading worship, I want to spend time in His throne room and have His anointing come and saturate me, before I actually minister to people. I want to worship Him in my secret place and make my secret place His home, then I'll take that secret place to a stage of thousands. But until then, I will not move a step further without making sure that I've spent enough time with Him.

God, make me Your home.

I could have all, but if I don't have You, I have nothing.

But with You, I am more than a conqueror for You've promised me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Graff. The Final Part

Phibs' signature on every piece of his work.

The planetUni banner that Jono and Iris did using stencil and spray.

When the last of Phibs' graff work is done, and when the sun begins to set in the horizon, that's when the crowd disappears; That's when all is said and done is done indeed. The satisfaction of an accomplishment could be tasted at the tip of the tongue. But the best part is when you know you that the success is shared. It is like when the last member of a baton relay team crosses the finish line and the team cheers, the crowd stands on their feet and they could taste the sweetness of success.

A graffiti event that consists of a live work by an accomplished graffiti artist and incorparating a competition is something that is uncommon, especially when it is done by a group of young people, whom the church backs. I love the culture of Planetshakers City Church where is is not afraid of being contemporary. It doesn't despise or detaches itself from the modern arts, rather, it embraces it. God, being a God of yesterday, today and tommorrow is one that is way ahead of our times where He could already listen what are the worship songs that will be written in the year 2015 and beyond. So, isn't it interesting to think that the Church is afraid of being consumed by modern culture and resist it most of the time?

Music is despised as being the tool of the devil decades ago. Not until recently having the drums and electric guitar in the church is considered satanic. However, today we see that we have the drums and electric guitar(s) in most churches today. God can use popular culture to be a form of evangelism. In fact, He is the one who created popular culture. It is the fleshly carnal selves that twisted and polluted it. Media, music, arts, politics, all of these and beyond are excellent tools that God created so that we could give Him all the glory and be forms of worship unto Him. A united shout unto His name and be a vehicle that shout His fame.

Graffiti doesn't have the best reputation, anywhere in this world. However, it is definately recognised as one of the culture of today. It rose from the generation we live in and it quickly became an icon. Sound familiar when you think about how music and its character came about: The MTV generation. Graffiti art is derived from the term where one writes their name on the walls of buildings, trains, and other public spaces, all in the name of telling the public about who they are. Graffiti is the name we give for writings on the wall; one that God Himself created long ago.

Like I mentioned before, the number one call of a Christian today is to 'Make God Famous'. Being contemporary is not an end, instead it should be a means to an end so that the Church can be a prophetic voice to a generation that needs to know who God is and truly is (paraphrased from Mal Fletcher's preaching).

Taken during the last few moments of the event when we finished packing up. God's love, faithfulness and promises and from everlasting to everlasting.

"Thank You, Jesus. Thank You for letting me have the priviledge of leading a team of inspiring leaders in an urbanlife who is not afraid of shouting Your fame. We give You all the praise, all the glory and honour that You deserve. You alone are God and Lord and we ask that You will use us and let us live for the cause of the cross. In Jesus' Name, Amen"

Graff. Part#04: The Wrap-Up

Urbanlife guys messing around with Phibs' work! (Phibs was taking a short break before working on the last board when we took this picture).

ULU2 taking a photo with Phibs and his trademark work, 'Head of Phibs'.

Taking a photo with Phibs, the winning team (Brodie, Iris, Patrick, Rachel), Matt and Sharene. The graff artwork was another one of his trademark piece, 'Hand of Phibs'.

ULU2 taking a random picture on the bench with drew's work after the event.

Jeremy (hamboy, haha! :P) and I taking a photo with drew's work. Jermster's smiling broadly 'cause he doesn't need to worry about his hair getting messed up by the strong wind up there at the roof deck. haha! :)

Graff. Part#03: The Graffiti Artist

Our special guest of the event was one of Melbourne and possibly Australia's best graffiti artist. He had more than 10 years of being in the street art scene, while he was still a teen back in Sydney. Not a lot of people know his background, but while he was sharing his experiences of coming to Melbourne from Sydney. He was saying that the art community here and the graff artists here has more respect for each other and the community of graff artists here are of a very artistic level. He was saying how he was hacked with a hammer under his right eye, he broke his bone and had to replace with a titanium rod under that eye (!). How shocking! All in the name of (Sydney) graff art.

His name: Tim de Haan, may not be known by many, but his tag "Phibs" is one where graff artists all around Melbourne and Sydney respect and give their credit for the years of work he has put into the graff art scene and how it shaped the art of graffiti in Australia. He is recently commisioned by Absolut Vodka to do a huge billboard in St Kilda promoting the new Absolut Raspberri. You can see some of his work here.

Before that, the Max Brenner in Melbourne Central opened and they chose Tim "Phibs" de Haan to do a huge artwork on their wall too. And in 2 weeks, he will be touring 5 Asian countries promoting graffiti and street art while being endorsed by K-Swiss.

We were absolutely blessed to have him agree to come and do a total of 6 pieces of work for us. Each was a large board as you can see below. In No Comply 2, the skateboards designs were selling for $600 each, so you work out how much these graff art cost street value wise!

Despite the regular social perception of a graffiti artist, Tim was an awesome guy, a father of a baby boy who loves art and is very helpful and friendly. He loves talking to people about his work and what it means to him. He was talking to a few guys during the event and I reckoned he felt like a star (not that he's not already one!) at the end of the day when we all took turns to take a photo with "the man".

Graff. Part#02: The Crowd

By 1.30pm there were about 50 people who rocked up to the Bouverie Close roof deck for the ULU2 Graffiti Event. Most were happy to help themselves to the free barbie. In the next 30 minutes, there were collectively, all in 70 people who came.

haha! I call 'em the ham and sausage boys! :P Ladies and gentlemen, these are the champianos who cooked your lunch! [from left to right: Jeremy Teo, QM Tan, TJ] :) by the way, those are chicken satay skewers made by TJ! not too bad at all! :)

There was a good mix of people, from the faithful people from ULU1 to the Kew buddies, to a few Malay girls, to a few Aussies to working adults. Awesome time of connecting with the guys and telling them about urbanlife and church.

Graff. Part #01: The Prep

Pictures of the graff work on canvas, done by drew. Just in case you're wondering, the background is done by artist graffiti spray, the white is acrylic paint - drawn freehand, and the black outline is drawn with paint markers. Done
just within a few days before he went back to Malaysia for good. he did this piece of graff for my urbanlife outreach event (Urban1000) for free. We just provided the canvas, 2 cans of spray and a few spray can heads. If you're wondering, the words (yes, those are words.. haha!) on the left says 'Apeks', that's drew's graff tag and the one on the right says 'urbanlife'! :D yayy! and nope, those are not devils.. haha! it's his concept character of a cricket that evolved through the years.

This picture below was taken a few moment after we stepped out of the art shop. He started spraying while explaining how he's going to design the piece of graff work! Amazing, I tell you: that guy doesn't even need time to think about how it should look like first.

drew at work

But more importantly, he introduced a few of the graffiti artists in Melbourne as we were talking to him that day. So, he took us around Melbourne, gave us a quick crash course on graffiti and its history in Melbourne. Introduced the names of graff artists like Teror, Aeon, Reka, Monkey, Sutra and Phibs to us (if you're going "huh?" - that's ok, that's how I felt at first too) Met with Teror at the Melbourne Artist Supply shop and was tal
king about the graffiti exhibition/competition that we're going to organise. He was actually a really nice guy to talk to, not too Teror-fying at all. haha :P

A few days laters, drew went back to Malaysia and I was thinking to myself, this is gonna be hard. 'cause our main point of contact is now gone. But, God proved me wrong :) which is always a good thing! when He is saying He's got a better plan up His sleeve. Thank You, Dad!

So, I went to meet the cafe owner to ask him whether it'll be alright for us to have a graffiti event next to his cafe ('cause the laneway was right next to it, and it had drew and phib's graff work on it). He was really nice about the whole idea and was t
elling me to go ahead, that he's got no problems with it. Now that is mind-blowing already, considering drew was telling me that he can get quite cranky at times. However, now the venue is going to be at Inck Cafe, which is heaps better! :) 'cause we couldn't get the permit from the City Council in time.

But more than that, as I was flipping through The Age magazine while I was at Stax Cafe, they had a 4 page article featuring the Melbourne street art scene! :D wow! In there, it mentioned the names of the famous graff artists like Aeon, Phibs and even Andy Mac (the guy who 'manages' these graff artists). I was thinking to myself, wow! I didn't know these guys are so big-time! and I have their n
umbers! which is just awesome, 'cause they're exactly who I'm looking for.

magazine article on Melbourne street art

After that, I decided to say hi to Teror, just to build a good
raport with him (now that drew is gone) Went there, chatted about the event a bit, then he invited me to this event called No Comply 2. In that event, there is absolutely every graff artist that I has in mind to invite. Now, I'm thinking "God! You're blowing my mind!" This is exactly the thing I need! Here are some pictures that I took on Friday, 12th August as we went to Revolver, Chapel St for that event. The pictures are a bit fuzzy, 'cause I took them using the phone camera.

RekaOne

Rone and Yok

Close up of Phibs' skateboard design

There, we met up with Teror, which was very helpful and friendly in talking about the works of the graff artists there and also introduced people like Aeon and Reka to us. We managed to get the contact of these people and was telling them about the event we're going to do. I managed to get Phibs' number too! :) which was great, 'cause he doesn't usually give his number to people he doesn't know. I reckoned it was a frutiful trip down there, 'cause we built some good contact with these people and they were very positive about the fact that this graff exhibition is organised by a Christian body.

On Saturday night church, we did a huge promo in church for the graffiti exhibition/competition event. I was talking to Jeremy, one of my fellow interns whom I knew better. He was asking about the event when he told me that he's a good friend of Phibs, Aeon, Reka, Monkey and other guys that I didn't know. I was utterly amazed. He was giving me the number of this woman who manages a group of Christian graff artists in Melbourne, called ChristCan. And he was saying how they will be very keen on coming to something like this. So, I said "yeah, that is perfect!".

Then came Sunday, Sharene wanted to get in contact with Phibs so she did and she called me last morning saying he agreed to come for the event, as the special guest artist and was in fact, very keen! He even suggested that we should meet up during the week do discuss the work and he was also very interested in showing us his work! :) wowww!

God is absolutely blowing my mind and also the mind of the team as we're organising this graffiti event. All of a sudden, we're spoilt for choices on who to invite to come as our special guest graff artists! But, that's always a good problem to have. Come 20th August, Inck Cafe will be packed with people, with large boards pasted to the wall and there'll be a few huge canvases and spray cans for the invited guests, one of which is Phibs :) But the highlight of the event will be the winner of the competition, where the group will win a piece of canvas work by Phibs where its street value is worth well over $500. But of course, more importantly, we're painting a picture of what church is and how the church is also 'speaking the language of this generation'. Where it will be one of the events that will break the mould and perception of church and Christians, that the world has.

In the words of Mal Fletcher: Make God Famous.

Red Hill Estate, 10th August 2005.
Source: Herald Sun.

It snowed in Red Hill Estate, Mornington yesterday. The first time in more than 30 over years.

What a country we live in! :)

Brr... *grabs my mug of warm black tea* :) mmm...

Oh Lord,
when I think of all You've done
My heart sings of Your love
that saved my soul
And made me whole
my life is Yours

'Cause You paid the price
I give You my life, I'm Yours

So no matter what the cost
I will go for You
No matter what it takes, I'm Yours
Because You paid the price, at Calvary
I give You my whole life, I'm Yours

Oh Lord, my everything to You I lift
My heart and soul I live, for You alone
I'm not my own, my life is Yours

I'm Yours
Jesus I am Yours

- I'm Yours, Planetshakers

we're Yours.

All of our future, hope, destiny.

our everything, to You we will lift.

we will hold on to You, never letting go.

"we live by faith, not by sight." - 2 Cor. 5:7

"as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. as the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is the word that goes out from my mouth: It will not retun to me empty, BUT will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. you will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; and the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands." - Isa. 55:9-12

even as the rain comes, there're dark clouds and the rumble of the thunder, the occasional lightning scares me; yet God revealed that it is crucial for that to happen so that the earth will receive its watering. and we all know that water gives life. but when God pours out His water from heaven, it gives life, but there's more: life more abundantly. I believe in You Jesus, that you have every purpose in leading me into the wilderness. because Holy Spirit, You led Jesus into the wilderness, a time of testing, but He came out anointed, approved and He chose His 12 disciples, under the unction of a Kingly Anointing. Rain down on me God. I believe in Your promises and I believe that it will all come to pass. Let it be done in my life, Lord. Let Your will be done in our lives.

We're Yours, forever and ever.

We'll always run to You, Dad.

So no matter what the cost, we'll go for You.

'Cause we believe in the future and the destiny You have for us.

Us :)

Watching the Evermore DVD makes me nostalgic. The familiarity of the sight and sound of the Planetshakers Conference 2005 that ran from the 19th till 22nd January were firmly cemented in my mind. In fact, as I'm writing this, the open-up poster/registration form of the conference is still stuck on my wall while the Always and Forever poster is right behind me.

The awe of God in the State Netball and Hockey Center was mind-blowing. But more than that, the awe of encountering God with someone whom I care for deeply and love is beyond words. How I remember jumping to 'Not Ashamed' and how I remember lifting my hands and sing 'Don't Pass Me By'; these memories run so deep, they evoke emotions so deep of a God-moment then.

That was about 7 months ago, but whenever I see that DVD playing in church, it never fails to remind me of those times when the one girl that I love was there with me in the midst of tens of thousands worshipping God together. But right now, even when we're together, the idea of a couple seeking God together, praying and worshipping God together is something that is very precious to my heart. There is something about two people in love and in a God-relationship that amazes me when they begin to pour out their love for God and praise the Beautiful One.

I remember that weekend when she was here, on the 11th and 12th of June when we were at the Arrow building, being there with her beside me, jumping, lifting our hands and lifting a shout unto God, that was a beautiful moment where we proclaimed God greatness and goodness for the love that He has for us, but also praising Him for the love and life that we share with each other. How worthy are O Lord, of all of our praises and worship for the giver of life and love and for being the God that we glorify through our relationship.

Yet, I know there'll be one day when we'll stand before God and we'll worship together. Where we will shout unto God for all that He is and for all that He is going to do in our lives. How we'll be more and more passionate for God, worshipping and serving Him in His house.

Iron sharpens iron.

I can't stop thanking God for such an awesome woman of God that I call my girlfriend. One thing I would do is to pray that God will make me into the perfect man of God that I can be for her. That our romantic relationship will be as a sweet fragance to our Lord and to the people around us. That we would increase in our love for our beloved Lord and for each other.

We love You, Lord
And we lift our voice
To worship You, O our soul rejoice
Take joy our King
In what You hear
Let us be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear.

Lord, never let us lose that awe of You and Your works. Never let us be familiar with the things of God. Never! Help us to have that child-likeness in us that always wanna run to You and at the very sight of Your face and the sound of Your voice we'll shout "Dad!!! We love You!" and we will run into Your arms and feel the warmth of Your embrace.

Let us be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear.

I know that as God is looking at us, He is smiling at us. How God took us on a journey of discovering our love for each other. How we said that we will honour God and put our faith in Him that He will bring all these into pass. How beautiful is our God that He has brought us together, as a couple that is so in love with Him and that is so in love with each other.

I love you, S k y e T a n!

I'm eternally blessed to be your boyfriend and your man :) How I am enormously proud of you! I pray that God will enlarge my capacity to love you and to care for you everyday. Because you deserve only the best!

You're the best, dear! :)

Planetworship - 5th to 6th August 2006.

2 trucks loads of equipments and gear (staging, lights, PA, video).
The overwhelming crowd of 900.
The Planetshakers band of 39 people.
The shout of a generation that is hungry and desperate for God.
The freedom of worshipping with all your heart, mind and strength.
The weeping of people who had their 'just a moment with You'.
The glory of God, the weight of heaven, the awesome presence of God.

I remember last year at Planetworship, it was held over a day on the 31th July 04 ;) I remember jumping like I've never jumped before, I remember screaming on top of my voice yet still could barely hear myself. I remember the touch from God, how beautiful is the sight of hundreds upon hundreds that worshipped God and sang 'You're all that I want, You're all that I need'.

Fast forward a year, Planetworship 05 blew everyone's mind and everyone's expectations of a worship conference. See, the thing I love about the culture of Planetshakers is that there is no status quo. There is no settling on one standard, but there is a culture of knowing there is more and there is so much more God can do. Only limited by our thinking.

Held over two days, the number of delegates went from 500 to close to 900 on the actual day itself. It was so jammed that the band decided to have two services for the launch of the Evermore album in the evening. It was huge.

Me. Put on the black Planetshakers Event Staff tshirt. Get wired to the walkie talkie. Being the Planetshakers intern this year, the guys took on the responsibility of doing security. Now, I loved the experience, especially when you see the faces of some of the people who 'feared' the security guys! Man! I'm still amused :) Being one of the 6 security guys at Planetworship means you couldn't be in the main hall all the time. For me, I thought I would be missing out on much, but I still managed to catch half of the services, and being at the side of the front stage for both of the evening album launch services were very nice.

I was in awe of the amazing presence of God on the first night itself. I was standing at the foyer outside church when I heard the chorus: 'I'm hungry for You... I'm hungry for You... So hungry for You..' Immediately, I felt a drawing. A drawing of God into His presence. I've never felt that way before, because it was a moment of God saying 'Come into my presence, run to me..'

Because the stirring in me got more and more, I walked into the hall. The moment I entered back doors of that hall, I felt the weight of His presence on me. It didn't even take long before I teared and stood right at the back row lifting my hands and shouted 'I'm hungry for You, I'm desperate for You!' There was such an awesome presence of God in there, that I wanted to stay on longer, but I had to resume by security duties out there. Bleh.

Planetworship was awesome. I wished you were there with me, dear. Seeing the breakthroughs of people lauching into a whole new realm of worship and the awesome freedom of worshipping Him, it was mind-blowing. The congregation lifting their hands and shouting 'You're all I need, You're all I want, Jesus.'

During the Saturday morning second service, Ps Sam shared a part of her personal testimony about worship. She said when she was younger back in her former church, she would go to church worship, lead worship yet she felt that unsatisfaction in her heart and spirit, knowing there is so much more to worship than just this. But it didn't stop her from going back home. Lock the door behind her, start singing and worshipping Him with all her might and strength and her spirit. It didn't stop her journaling and telling God how awesome He is. It was a attitude of worshipping that she carried throughout her life even when she stands on stage now. That God deserves all our worth-ship. I wanted to tell you that when we were talking the other day, but it slipped my mind. But when Ps Sam was sharing that, I thought about you. I remember when you were sharing your heart about your devotion and how you worshipped unreservedly. But more than that, I know God is preparing you into the powerful woman of God that you already are and will be.

God, I want to worship You for all my life. I want to see Your glory manifest in my life and in our lives. You're all we need and You're all we worship and adore. We LOVE You!

There'll be one day when the planet worships.

'cause my G-O-D is B-I-G!

Prayer: Lord, fill my heart with Your light and Your Words. May You dwell in me. Amen!

In the midst of all that gloomy cloud, there's still a streak of coloured promise peeking through. God speaks in amazing ways. When the weight of the grey clouds seem too overbearing and they feel like they're too massive, God says "You can trust me and hold on to my promises, for they will never fail you."

When the break of day comes, and when the first light of dawn shines, the mist of the night disappears. It's a new day that brings forth life. Let the weak say they're strong and the poor say they're rich. For there is much to give thanks for.

I thank God eternally for you, gorgeous. You light up my world.

I can see you and us in the coloured streaks shining through the gloomy clouds. We're nearer to our destiny with each break of day.

You light up my life, S k y e

Devotions:

Hebrews 10:23
I did my devotion on this particular verse this morning, when I looked in detail certain meaning of words and looked up other Bible translations on the same verse. I was utterly blown away. Hope this will bless you.

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." [NIV]

Unswervingly: Not veering or turning aside, constant, steady.
Profess: To affirm openly, declare or claim.

"Let's keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word." [The Message]

"So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word." [Amplified Bible]

How beautifully versed is the Amplified and The Message!

Prayer: Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness for You are the Rock whom we stand. Help us to hold fast to the hope that You have promised us. Help us to not only hear Your Word, but do what the Word says. We put all our trust in You because we lean on You, for You're faithful in keeping Your Words. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Make rhymes sound like the evening cloud
Make the words mean a thousand picture
Make voices feel like lemonade
Make lemonade taste like a sunny day

A single chord
A distant note
Nostalgia
Fear

Three thousand eight hundred miles
Never have I felt so far
Never have I felt so near
To you

Somewhere in the fog
If you look closely
There is a place
I think I know it's name
Fulfilled Promises

Perfume-stained floor
Broken alabaster jar
The scent blown away
Fog comes

What's over the mountains, Lord?
Is there more?
The stones are cutting my feet
I'm leaving blood-stained footprints

There has to be more
