Yesterday as I tuned in to the national evening news on TV3, they showed Lebanese dates sellers during the Ramadhan. According to the news, the cheapest Lebanese dates were named "George Bush", "Ehud Olmert" and "Condoleezza Rice". Their motto? - Stick and stones may break my bone, but not my sense of sarcastic humour.

You gotta like the guys at Adobe for their sense of humour.

For the first time in history, a large movie studio that has a division totally devoted to making and producing Christian content movies and DVDs. World, please welcome FoxFaith. Read about the great news here and here.

You can view FoxFaith's website here.

I'm glad in this way, Christianity is leading the way in coming up with new concepts in movie production. Thanks to one man who dared to stand up and made "The Passion of the Christ". Mel Gibson in fact paved the way in the forming of FoxFaith today. It all began with the vision of one man (backed by millions of dollars), we can now enjoy countless movies that have good Christian content and values built into it.

Good on ya, Fox! :)

"Max Brenner is a cruel, cruel man. We're sitting on the mezzanine floor of his restaurant, Chocolate by the Bald Man. Located in Manhattan, it’s the first American branch of his international chain of chocolate shops and restaurants."
- excerpt from Forbes.

Forbes has an interview with the founder of Max Brenner's Chocolate by the Bald Man. Click here to read the full Forbes interview with Mr. Brenner.

And that is a tribute to 2 of my favourite chocolatiers ever (although I'm definately more partial to Koko Black). Totally awesome stuff to make your tastebuds happy.

The book on the left is called "Der Giftpilz", German for "The Toadstool." It was published in 1938, as part of the German propoganda machine. It was aimed at kids, and was sometimes even used in schools.

The aim was to brainwash young German children to be pro Nazi and anti-Semitic, as well as teaching the younger generation about the "evils" of a Jew. The book was only one of the many used during the Hitler years.

Now, is it any suprise why there are people like Hitler and his minions in our generation? Is it any surprise why millions upon millions of Jews are murdered without question in the gory Holocaust?

Children have been the future and they will always be. No wonder Jesus said "Let the children come to Me." There's only one book our children need - The Bible.

Tomorrow will mark my 6th month in this company. It has been nothing less than awesome. Thinking back on how God orchestrated everything, it still doesn’t fail to blow my mind. As I was driving to work one day, I thanked God for the beautiful morning and how He has led me to this job as well as making me integrated with my work responsibilities and colleagues.

Just yesterday, Mr. David Ong, my director of this company, who is also a member of DUMC decided to start a prayer meeting every Monday at 8.30am. It was awesome to be able to gather together every week and to pray for our unsaved colleagues and other things that God has put in our hearts.

We’re nearing the end of 2006 soon. Yet I believe God has something bigger and better up His sleeve. And I’m not content till I see His glory manifested in my life and the life of His church. Having said that, I’m not ungrateful for all that He has done in this year. You showed me that it could be better than what I thought it would be. There is nothing that cannot be overcome when God is on your side. And for that, I thank You.

It was Malaysia’s Merdeka Day yesterday!

Apart from the nice public holiday which was a long time coming, our church had a Merdeka prayer walk. We gathered at church at close to 2pm. We had worship and a short word from our senior pastor, Ps Daniel Ho. After that, we set off to the location of our future Dream Centre! Located at a huge piece of land in Section 13, a part of me got really excited inside as I was very conscious that it was our Dream Centre in the future. Scheduled to be completed in March 2007, the main sanctuary is built to fit 2,700 people comfortably inside with heaps of other buildings on it. I wished I took some pictures as it was such an awesome place. Apart from the main building, the place had 5 or 6 other buildings of quite large size.

After the prayer walk around the future Dream Centre area, we headed to various part of PJ and KL to pray. Our cg was allocated to the Putra LRT line from Kelana Jaya to KL Sentral. Malaysians being Malaysians, we had an ice cream stop at the McDonald’s. We headed back to church and ended at about 6pm. It had been an awesome day where S k y e and myself went to a Thai/Malay restaurant at Uptown and we ended the day with watching Antwone Fisher.

Nice. Now, for the weekend. Smile, people, smile.
