Wow! Once again, I'm amazed at how Facebook can totally pull me away from Blogger. Okok, it's not totally Facebook's fault. It's my colleagues, friends and lifegroup people who are always throwing sheep, poking, asking me to be a vampire, a werewolf or asking me to receive a hatching egg. Ok well, probably not those either. Yes, I confess: I am (unashamedly) a Facebook addict :) Unless you're not in Facebook, just ignore - everything I've said will be just gibberish to you.
On a separate note: I've just started the Sunway Lifegroup last week with some really awesome guys! We had Silas, Brown, Edwin, Erwin and Justin last week where we met at the visitor's room of the Sunway Monash Condo randomly. I thought it was awesome meeting and connecting with all these great guys. I'm still reeling from the fact that I, a local am outnumbered by the people from out of town or basically out of country! We've got guys from Ipoh, Melaka, JB, Penang, Brunei and a few from Nigeria and a few other African nations.
Can I just say this: I totally love my LG!
I really do! All the guys are totally awesome and I'm so excited and passionate about the potential of this LG! What I saw and witnessed last week was really just a 0.1% of what God totally wanna do with this LG. I've got so many things in my heart that I can see us doing to cause a wave in the uni and the tonnes of students in this place! I can see events, outreaches, adopt-a-block kinda projects, guys built up to be student leaders in the campuses and in church and guys taking a part of this culture to wherever God wants them to be. But for now, the ripple's starting....
All the guys have a heart and something in common that totally roots us deep in the church and that sense of belonging in church. This is really a place where people from all background can find a family away from a family and a home away from their home. A place where they can feel safe, covered under the church and at the same time challenged to grow and serve in a way they have never seen or experienced before. One day, we will be occupying halls we will be having LGs in every other street in the campuses. One day, we will be causing such an impact in the unis that people are drawn to it and a passion that draws crowd.
